Actor Jaideep Ahlawat recently shared that he cried in 2013 after Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket. The actor was at the Wankhed Stadium in Mumbai when Tendulkar gave his farewell speech.

During an interview Mashable indiaJaideep felt overwhelmed after watching his farewell speech to Sachin Tendulkar after his 200th Test match during the India vs. West Indies series in Mumbai.

While sharing Smriti, the actor said, “This was the last match of Sachin Sir at the Wankhede Stadium and I went to see with it. Vijay Verma, Sunny Hiduja including my FTII batchmates And another. Sachin sir played the first two matches, and when it was a turn to bat for the West Indies, Team India stumbled. First, we thought that the West Indies would bat by evening, so we planned to go the next day. But around 11 o’clock, when we woke up, my batchmate Prabha said that India had already lost four wickets. When I realized that if not today, India can lose by an innings. ,

“We went quickly because India’s innings was ending quickly. By the time we reached Wankhedi, the gates were closed. The crowd was parked outside the stadium as this was Sachin Sir’s last match and we all knew that he would give a speech. Outside security guards also closed Gates and went inside to watch the match. I remember that we were all screaming and arguing and finally, some guards standing outside let us go inside, ”said Jaideep.

The Petal folk actor recalled the truth when he saw the crowd crying after Sachin’s speech. “As soon as I entered the stadium and climbed the pavilion, I saw Sachin sir holding the mic. I have never seen so many people crying together for one person. At that moment, seeing the entire packed Wankhed Stadium in tears, including myself, became a lifetime memory for me. The moment he said, ‘The most important thing I will remember in cricket is the voice of the people chanting my name,’ the crowd erupted and started chanting their names, “he concluded.
