Pamela Anderson believes in putting effort into her work rather than worrying about awards. After The Last Showgirl was snubbed at an Oscar, the actress sat down to chat with Elle.com and revealed that although she and the production team missed out on an Academy Award nomination, she’s happy to get a nomination at the SAG Awards.
Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott announced the list on Thursday, where Emilia Perez led the race with 13 nods, and the Anderson .Jan starrer was left with Angelina Jolie’s Maria and several others.
Talking to the media portal, the actress said, ‘Oh God, this is not something I ever expected.’ She added, “Work is winning. It’s what I love to do, and I think we can lose sight of it sometimes in this whole crazy awards season, but it’s nice to be recognized, and it It’s all a bonus.”

Meanwhile, the Baywatch star claimed that the team has put in a lot of hard work promoting the film, and with the SAG nomination, the film will get the recognition it deserves.
“I couldn’t have imagined (it) anyway,” Anderson said. He told the news outlet, “I’m happy for the SAG nomination; it’s voted on by your peers. It’s really great. It’s been a long journey to promote this film.”
As for the film, Anderson plays Shelley, a Las Vegas girl who gets hit with news that shatters her world. The film’s official synopsis reads, “A veteran showgirl must plan for her future when her show suddenly closes after 30 years.”
Besides the Barbwire star, the film also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenda Song, Dave Bautista and Kiernan Shipka. The Last Showgirl is available to watch in select theaters.
