The nominees for the 97th Academy Awards have finally been announced today, January 23. Hosts Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott announced the nominees for all 24 categories live from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles. The presentation began at 7 pm IST, and can be streamed live on YouTube.

The 2025 Oscar nominees were originally scheduled to be announced last week on January 17, but the ceremony was moved up due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The academy also canceled its annual Oscar nominees luncheon and said it would donate the $250,000 it planned to spend on the event to wildfire relief efforts.
