Actor Akshay Kumar, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Sky Force, spoke about the knife attack on Saif Ali Khan. Akshay addressed the media at a press conference in Delhi and said that he was happy that the actor is safe.

Akshay Kumar replied to India Today’s question regarding Saif Ali Khan. He said, “The entire industry is very happy that he is safe. It was very brave of him how he protected his family. Hats off to him.”

Recalling their collaboration in the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Akshay on a lighter note said that he will now make another film with her titled Do Khiladi, meaning How bravely he faced the situation.

In another program, Jackie Shroff was also asked about the attack on Saif. The actor described the incident as ‘unfortunate’ and wished for a speedy recovery.

On January 16, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed about six times by an intruder at his Bandra home, Satguru Sharan. He was taken to the hospital at 2:30 am, where he underwent two surgeries. The hospital also shared a photo of a 3-inch long knife fragment that was used in the attack.

Lilavati Hospital’s doctor Nitin Dange told this to the media on Monday. Saif will not get leave todayAlthough he is doing well. He will be kept under observation in the hospital for another day.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has arrested the attacker. Bangladeshi resident Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad30, from Thane city of Mumbai on Sunday. He was produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Sunday afternoon and sentenced to five days’ police custody.
