The grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 started with the arrival of host Vijay Sethupathi on the stage. He reflected on the contestants’ unique journeys and shared his personal insights from his experience as a first-time host. The finale was filled with lively dance performances from contestants like Anshida, Tarshika and Sunita, but the spotlight remained on the five finalists.
As the competition wound down, the suspense increased with each eviction. The first contestant to be evicted was Ryan, followed by Pavitra. In a surprise twist, all three of them were asked to leave the house and go on the grand stage. The atmosphere became lively with laughter and banter between the contestants and their families before VJ Vishal’s next eviction was revealed.
The finale saw a thrilling contest between the two strongest contenders, Soundarya and Muthukumaran, who stood together as the audience burst into applause. The intense anticipation reached its peak when Vijay Sethupathi raised Muthukumaran’s hand and declared him the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8.
After winning the show, Muthukumaran was quoted by the Indian Express as saying, “This is not my victory. This is the victory of a person who never forgets to believe in himself. He taught me Tamil. He taught me to stop people from doing bad things. Taught.” I learned the importance of ‘uzappu’. It’s very special to be recognized for your hard work. If Muthukumaran can do it, anyone can do it.”
To end the celebrations, Bala, the head of Vijay TV channel, took to the stage and reminded everyone of the incredible journey of the contestants. He also revealed that Vijay Sethupathi will return as the host for the upcoming season, Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9.
