Actor and dancer Nora Fatehi made her debut in mainstream American music with Snake. Written by her, Nora sings and dances with Jason Derulo of Swell fame.
Actor and dancer Nora Fatehi has finally debuted in American mainstream music with the track Snake opposite Jason Derulo of Swalla fame. Released on January 16, the song is already garnering immense love with 21 million views on YouTube.
As one might expect from a Nora Fatehi and Jason Derulo togetherThe song also merges her distinctive pop style with Western sensibilities as well as Eastern music. Nora also becomes a serpent, swaying and spinning like a serpent, as she says in the song. The dancer, who has been a part of several Bollywood films, has also been credited as one of the writers of the song.

Snake was directed by Moroccan director Abderrafia El Abdioui and choreographed by India’s Rajit Dev. It was shot against the backdrop of the exotic landscapes of Marrakesh. Moroccan influence is also very evident on the song. In a statement, Nora Fatehi said she “fused futuristic Moroccan influences with urban styles, creating a powerful display of dance and expression like never before.”
He also said, “Snake has been a dream project of mine, and I’m thrilled to finally share this alien song with the world. Collaborating with Jason Derulo has been an incredible experience – his artistry as an artist It brought the exact energy and magic I had envisioned for the music video.”
