Madha Gaja Raja Day 3 Tamil Nadu Box Office: Vishal starrer action-comedy records huge growth on Pongal; Earning Rs 6 crore on the third day

Madha Gaja Raja, which stars Vishal in the lead role along with Anjali, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Santhanam, is making waves at the box office with a solid trend. The long-delayed film has recorded its biggest day today on the occasion of Pongal in Tamil Nadu.

Madha Gaja Raja earns Rs 6 crore on Pongal; around Rs 15 crore

Directed by Sundar C, Madha Gaja Raja collected Rs 3.20 crore on its opening day (Sunday). Furthermore, the film saw a slight rise and earned Rs 3.30 crore on the second day (Monday). As expected, due to the Pongal holidays, the film did well on its third day and registered a massive growth of 81%.

It grossed around Rs 6 crore on the third day, taking the total to Rs 12.50 crore at the Tamil box office in the first three days. It will soon touch the figure of Rs 15 crore.

Given its pace, the film is expected to collect over Rs 40 crore in its entire run, and has the potential to earn even more. It has the potential to emerge as a super-hit venture at the box office.

The film starring Vishal received tremendous word-of-mouth, which gave a significant boost to its box office performance. Interestingly, it got the best release date by mistake.

For the uninitiated, the action-comedy was originally shot in 2012-2013. However, it could not be released due to legal and financial constraints. After more than a decade, fortunately, the film got a Pongal release date due to the postponement of Lyca Productions’ Vidamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar. And the rest is history!
