Mahakumbh 2025: Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Mohit Chauhan and others to perform
Many artistes including Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan and Mohit Chauhan are expected to perform at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. Apart from these, various Bollywood stars are also likely to attend the grand devotional programme.
Mahakumbh 2025, which will begin on January 13 and conclude on February 26 in Prayagraj, promises to be a unique experience for devotees this year. From Shankar Mahadevan to Mohit Chauhan, many singers are ready to add a touch of spirituality to the music.
Shankar Mahadevan will perform on the opening day while Mohit will conclude the program with his soulful music. Apart from these two, many acclaimed artistes including Kailash Kher, Shaan Mukherjee, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kavita Seth, Hariharan, Bikram Ghosh, Malini Awasthi Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma, Shovana Narayan, Dr L Subramaniam and many others will be performing at the event. The Culture Ministry said in a release.
Ganga pandal in Kumbh Mela grounds Classical dance, folk music and dramatic arts will be performed. These exhibits aim to tell stories of devotion, faith and the cultural heritage of India, providing both a spiritual and artistic experience to devotees and visitors.
The performances will range from classical music to folk traditions, with a host of stars including Ravi Tripathi (January 25), Sadhna Sargam (January 26), Shaan (January 27) and Ranjani and Gayatri (January 31). Other notable performances include Hariharan (10 February), Kailash Kher of Kailash (23 February), and Mohit Chauhan’s Grand Finale (24 February).
Moreover, as per reports, several Bollywood celebrities are also expected to attend the event while taking the holy dip in the Sangam.
According to reports, many celebrities from Hindi, South Indian and Bhojpuri film industries are expected to come to Prayagraj and attend the Maha Kumbh Mela. The stars who are expected to attend include Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anup Jalota, Renuka Shahane, Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari, Akshara Singh, Rakhi Sawant and others.
Kumbh Mela 2025 is taking place after 144 years Due to rare astronomical alignment of planets and stars. Lakhs of devotees from all over the world come to participate in this sacred event and take a dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the legendary Saraswati rivers. It is believed that taking a dip in the holy river washes away sins and leads to salvation.
Mahakumbh Mela 2025, lasting 44 days It begins on Makar Sankranti on 13 January and ends on Maha Shivratri on 26 February.
