AR Rahman is not a sociable person, he is just busy in work: Sonu Nigam

In a candid revelation, Sonu Nigam shared his insight on AR Rahman’s personality, and described him as a reserved person. Nigam said that Rehman maintains distance and does not allow people to come close easily.

Playback singer Sonu Nigam recently shared his views on composer AR Rahman, calling him a reserved person. In an interview, Nigam explained that Rahman maintains his distance from people and is not particularly sociable. He said that Rehman is talented in his field, but he likes to maintain personal space and does not let many people come close to him.

while talking to O2 IndiaSonu Nigam discusses his relationship with AR Rahman. Additionally, they also highlighted his personality and work ethic. He said, “He doesn’t have relationships. He is not a person who has relationships.”

Sonu further said, “He doesn’t open up in front of anyone. At least, I have never seen that. Perhaps, he opens up in front of his old friends, who know him as Dilip. But I have seen him opening up. Haven’t seen it.” Or having a relationship with someone. He is not a friendly person. He just keeps busy with his work.”

Talking about AR Rahman’s focused behaviour, Sonu Nigam recalled an incident from his USA tour. “He doesn’t know how to gossip, and it’s not his flaw. That’s just the way he is. He doesn’t want to know anything about me or anyone else and he doesn’t want anyone else to know about him. He’s got a unique personality. Are”, said the singer.

Sonu further said, “He does his work and says his prayers. He doesn’t misbehave with anyone. He won’t hurt anyone. He won’t speak bad about anyone. He is different from all this. “They should stay connected.” towards his family but I haven’t seen him being very friendly with others, that’s how it should be.”

Sonu Nigam and AR Rahman have created timeless tunes through iconic collaborations like Satrangi Re (Dil Se), Chhoti Si Asha (Roja), and Aayo Re Sakhi (Paani).
