Actress Ananya Panday recently spoke about her experiences with bullying during her school years. In an interview, she revealed that she was called a “hunchback” and that such comments led to insecurities about her body. Despite living up to traditional beauty standards, Ananya admitted that she struggles with self-doubt about her appearance.

She said, “It may seem like I’m very happy with my body and that I fit the ideal standards of beauty. I hear this a lot, but I’m also very insecure about my body and I’ve been insecure since childhood ” When I was in school, people would say, ‘Oh, you’re a hunchback, you’ve got toothpick legs, chicken legs, and you’re a flat-screen TV.'”

She added, “I also heard things like, ‘Why do you have so much hair on your arms?’ And all that stuff, like people’s words can really affect you when you’re growing up. The fact is I can still remember exactly what people said and who said it 12 years later. , This shows how powerful words can be.”

The actress also opened up about the efforts she makes to maintain her appearance, which includes regular workouts. She spoke about her recent trip to Dubai, where her skirt didn’t fit because she was eating food, insisting that such moments are normal and relevant.

Ananya shared, “I think as an actor, the best I can do is to talk about the fact that I have off days too. I work on it and every day Go to the gym. If I didn’t do that, I would also watch.” In a certain way, I was in Dubai, overeat a little bit, and couldn’t fit into my skirt, and I think talking about it will let people know that we’re not perfect, and we work very hard for that. We have to look like this.”

Ananya wants to convey that actors are not perfect and their acting requires constant hard work.

She will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Chand Mera Dil directed by Vivek Soni, which will release in 2025. She is also working on a Dharma Productions project with Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan.
