Weekly Deal: Red Magic 10 Pro arrives, Realme GT 6T and Poco F6 prices dropped

The Red Magic 10 Pro began its global rollout last month. You can get it on Amazon with a voucher for €40. The phone features a perfectly rectangular 6.85” display (with an under-display camera), a 1216p+ panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colors. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is actively cooled by a built-in fan and has two pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons – yes, it’s a gaming phone. It has two 50MP cameras on the back (wide and ultra-wide). Inside is a massive 7,050mAh battery with 100W charging.

The Realme GT 6T is a mid-ranger with a high-quality display, a 6.78” LTPO panel with 1264p+ resolution, 10-bit color, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness rises to an impressive 6,000 nits peak. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, which rivals the older 8 Gen 2. The 5,500mAh battery with 120W wired charging is bigger and faster than other batteries. The camera at 50+8MP is nothing special and the dust and water resistance rating is only IP65.

The Poco F6 has a near-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which is slightly faster than the 7+ Gen 3. The phone has a 1220p+ display with 12-bit colors and Dolby Vision. The refresh rate is 120Hz, but it’s not an LTPO panel. The phone runs on a 5,000mAh battery with 90W charging. Once again, the camera takes a step back with a 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide. The phone has been given IP64 rating.

Samsung Galaxy A55 is also in this price range. It is powered by Exynos 1480 with AMD graphics and has a 6.6” 120Hz display (1080p+). It has a better water resistance rating than the above model (IP67), but the 5,000mAh battery only draws 25W over USB-C. Storage can be expanded via microSD. The camera has a 50MP sensor (1/1.56”, whereas the previous two models had smaller 1/1.95” sensors) and a higher resolution 12MP main.

The Nothing Phone (2A) recently received the Android 15 update. It is powered by the Dimensity 7200 Pro and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired-only charging. The 6.7” 1080p+ OLED display features a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. Unlike most of the phones on this list, the (2a) has a serious ultra-wide camera with a 50MP sensor with a 50MP main (1/1.56”).

An inexpensive model of this family is the CMF Phone 1. Its 6.67” 1080p+ display (120Hz) and Dimensity 7300 chipset allow it to punch above its weight. The replaceable back cover adds some customization options (however, the 5,000mAh battery is not replaceable). The phone has a 50MP main camera and lacks an ultra-wide.

Alternatively, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G promises an impressive 6 years of software support. The Exynos 1330 is no longer the fastest chipset and it may struggle with performance six years from now. Although it is cheaper, the A16 has an ultra-wide camera (5MP) in addition to the 50MP main. Like the CMF phones, there is a microSD slot. This model also has an official dust and water resistance rating (IP54), which some manufacturers choose to omit in this segment.
