Sikandar Exclusive: BGM composer Santosh Narayanan says Salman Khan was also involved while working on the teaser; ‘An effort is being made to raise this incident…’

The teaser of Salman Khan’s Sikandar released on December 28, 2024 after much anticipation. In no time, it set the internet on fire thanks to the superstar’s personality and Santosh Narayanan’s foreboding BGM, which added to the impact. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, the BGM composer shared that the superstar was involved in the making of the teaser. He also shared that he is trying to elevate the personality of the superstar in some group scenes.

Santosh Narayanan, who has previously worked on films like Kalki 2898 AD, Jigarthanda Double There was a perception. He said, “I have been a fan of Salman sir since childhood and wanted to mix contemporary electronic sounds and some retro/acoustic elements for both the teaser and the score.”

When asked if he got any words of appreciation from Salman Khan after the good response to the teaser on social media, Santosh replied enthusiastically. He said, “Very grateful for all the comments and feedback. It shows the reach of the man himself. Salman sir liked the music of the teaser and thought it felt different. He was also involved while working on the teaser. And he also gave some valuable inputs.”

After hearing the glimpse of music in the teaser, there is curiosity to know what is there in the film. Talking about the same, Santhosh Narayanan said, “I am working to convey the story with an honest effort and also try to elevate the incidence of Salman sir’s personality in some of the ‘group’ scenes. Keeping in mind the experience of the audience who want to celebrate, the film and the stars in it are at the forefront.”

Sikandar is an upcoming action thriller which is much awaited by Bollywood fans. The film marks Bhaijaan’s return to the big screen after Tiger 3 releasing in Diwali 2023. It stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead opposite Salman and is directed by AR Murugadoss, who has previously made Hindi films like Ghajini and Holiday.
