Actor-director Sajid Khan came into limelight when he was accused of #MeToo movement in Bollywood. In 2018, when he was shooting for Housefull 4, several women leveled sexual harassment allegations against him. Recently, Khan revealed that the last six years have been ‘very bad’ for him. He also thought about ending his life many times. But now he is trying to stand on his feet again.

Sajid Khan was in an interview with Hindustan Times. During the conversation, the Housefull director recalled how he spent the last six years since he was accused in the #MeToo movement. Khan said, “I thought about ending my life several times in the last six years.” He said that it has been very bad for him because he has no work.

The filmmaker further said that even after getting the nod from the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), he is trying to get back on his feet. Over the years, due to no work and no earning, he had to sell his house and live in a rented flat. Recalling his life struggles, the Humshakals writer-director said that from the age of 14, he started earning for his family as his father, producer-director Kamran Khan, passed away, leaving him And his sister Farah Khan was drowned in debt.

But as he struggles with life’s difficulties and tries to get back on track, Sajid wishes his mother Maneka Irani was alive to see him working so hard. “More than just their son, I was their caretaker. Life has been tough,” admits the Himmatwala director.

Following the allegations, Sajid stepped down as director of Housefull 4 and was eventually replaced by Farhad Samji. He also directed films like Hey Baby and Darna Zaroori Hai.
