According to the lawsuit, Baldoni’s actions allegedly caused significant emotional and mental harm, affecting Lively’s professional life and causing financial setbacks. The statement from Blake Lively’s attorney read, “Earlier today, Ms. Lively filed a federal complaint against Wayfarer Studios and others in the Southern District of New York. Ms. Lively responded to the retaliatory campaign previously launched against Wayfarer. sent her California Department of Civil Rights complaint in response. Unfortunately, Ms. Lively’s decision to speak out resulted in further retaliation and attacks.”
The statement continued, “As alleged in Ms. Lively’s federal complaint, Wayfarer and its associates violated federal and California state law by retaliating against her for reporting sexual harassment and workplace safety concerns. Now , the defendants will answer for their conduct in federal court.”
It said, “Ms. Lively brings this lawsuit in New York, where most of the relevant activities described in the complaint occurred, but we reserve the right to take further action in other locations and jurisdictions as appropriate under the law.”
According to reports, Blake Lively had accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and a coordinated effort to damage her reputation in her previous complaint filed in California. She claimed that Justin launched a smear campaign against her. In response, Justin’s team rejected the allegations, calling them a baseless attempt to restore his reputation.
