Chilean authorities have recovered three watches, including a Rolex Submariner, that are believed to have been stolen from the Los Angeles home of Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves in December 2023. The watches were part of a series of robberies targeting multiple victims. A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft, CNN reports.
The Rolex Submariner, engraved with Mr Reeves’ name and a personal message – “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five” – was found during a police operation in eastern Santiago on Saturday. According to Rolex website, its price is 9000 dollars (6.7 lakh rupees). The recovery was part of a larger investigation into local robberies, where police also seized other valuable jewelery and watches.

In another high-profile heist, a $4.5 million robbery took place in July in the exclusive Doheny Estate neighborhood just north of Beverly Hills. As CBS reports, thieves stole a collection of luxury items including 41 collectible designer watches from Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Rolex, as well as several high-end handbags.
According to CBS News, the homeowner, who chose to remain anonymous, said the suspects gained access to the property by breaking a large glass door. Once inside, the thieves turned off the WiFi, disrupting the surveillance cameras. However, an alarm was raised, alerting the security company, which immediately dispatched a patrol unit.
By the time security personnel arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene. Although the suspects had turned off the gate cameras, staff sitting outside the house at the time saw the thieves fleeing in a white Jeep SUV with dark tinted windows and distinctive black rims. Crews managed to capture video of the vehicle’s license plate, but officers later informed the homeowner that the plate had been reported stolen.
