Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Karam is making a comeback with a re-release in limited theatres. Special shows are scheduled for the re-release on December 31, Adding festive atmosphere to New Year’s Eve. Originally released on January 12 during Sankranthi, the film brought together Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas for the third collaboration after hits like Athadu and Khaleja.
Of the five shows scheduled in Hyderabad, four have already been sold out, and anticipation remains high for the remaining shows. This revival highlights Mahesh Babu’s unwavering star power and the film’s growing fan base.
Despite initial promotion, the film received mixed reviews. Fans appreciated Mahesh Babu’s stylish performance, but the story struggled to live up to expectations. After a strong start to Sankranthi, it suffered a huge decline, earning a total of Rs 129 crore in the Telugu states, falling short of break-even expectations.
