Accident in convoy of newly elected President of Mexico, 1 dead
Mexico’s newly elected President Claudia Sheinbaum’s convoy was involved in an accident on Friday, her team said in a statement, adding that one person was killed and several others were injured in the accident. However, the car in which Sheinbaum was traveling was not involved in the accident.

The motorcade of Mexico’s newly elected President Claudia Sheinbaum was involved in an accident on Friday, her team said in a statement, adding that one person was killed and several others were injured in the accident, although the car in which Sheinbaum was traveling was not involved.
Sheinbaum stopped to check on the injured, who were then being cared for by emergency teams after the crash in Monclova, a city in the northern Coahuila state, her team said.
“We deeply regret that a person in the other vehicle was killed,” the statement said.
