Jeff Bezos has categorically denied media reports that his upcoming wedding with fiancée Lauren Sanchez will cost a whopping $600 million. Taking on X, Amazon’s billionaire founder dismissed the rumors as “completely false.” Reports picked up by multiple outlets around the world allege that the couple is set to exchange vows on December 28 and will spend over half a billion dollars on the lavish event.
Mr Bezos’ response was triggered by a post by billionaire investor Bill Ackman, who expressed skepticism about the alleged $600 million wedding. “This is not credible. You can’t spend that much money unless you’re buying a house for each of your guests,” he wrote on X.
Responding to Mr Ackman’s tweet, the Amazon founder wrote, “Also, this whole thing is completely false – there is no such thing happening. The adage “don’t believe everything you read” More true today than ever before the truth can take hold. So be careful out there and don’t be gullible. It will be interesting to see if this issue is covered “Doers and re-reports All outlets do is improve when it comes and goes and it doesn’t.
