Popular Bollywood playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya was the voice behind some of Shah Rukh Khan’s most popular tracks of the 90s. They had a public falling out and recently, the singer expressed his desire to mend his sour relationship with the Bollywood superstar. To explain his point, he even said that the songs sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu and other singers cannot compete with his popularity.

In a candid conversation with Shubhankar Mishra for his YouTube channel, Abhijeet Bhattacharya recalls his bond with Shahrukh Khan. The singer, who was once known as the voice behind Shah Rukh Khan, worked with him on many hit tracks. But, he had a dispute with Khan over the credit distribution of his songs and had some issues with the superstar, which he discussed widely with the media. Now, after a year, the singer intends to mend their relationship.

She told that she and Shahrukh are ideal for each other, which shows their chemistry and successful collaboration. He stressed that their collaboration was more important than the music. Bhattacharya said, ‘We are made for each other like husband and wife.’

The singer also claimed that Khan’s new songs by other singers were not as catchy as the songs created by him. The singer also told that, according to Manyata, the songs of any singer including Udit Narayan or Kumar Sanu cannot be equal to his songs.

Abhijeet said, “Do you remember any of his recent songs? After me, Udit (Narayan) and Kumar Sanu sang for him, but the songs were not at par with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Darr.”

Furthermore, she mentioned that she and the Pathan actor never had a close relationship and they used to meet at song launches or other events related to his films as he does not attend Bollywood parties. However, he believes that Shahrukh could have taken the initiative to resolve the matter as he did not expect any apology. Still, he will collaborate with him to make good music. Abhijeet further said that Shahrukh’s contemporaries did not always take him seriously. Instead, they called him a “stutterer.”

For those unaware, Abhijeet Bhattacharya sang some popular songs for Shahrukh Khan like ‘Main Hoon Na’ from Tumne Jo Maine Dekha, ‘Tauba Tumhare Ishaare’ from ‘Chalte Chalte’ and the iconic ‘Zara Sa’ from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I will dance.
