Varun Dhawan is one of the most popular actors of Bollywood and has gained massive popularity in the last decade. Recently, the actor opened up about some scary fan interactions where in one situation, a powerful man’s wife broke into his house because she was seduced by someone and thought she was going to live with him. In a new interview with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, Varun Dhawan, who is busy promoting his upcoming film, shared some of the strangest interactions he has had with fans during his career.
He revealed that once, a woman who was trapped by a man who talked to her made her believe that he would leave his family for her. Dhawan recalled, “That woman was the wife of a very powerful man. I can’t say what position she held… but she was a very powerful man and she was being cheated. Someone took my name and asked her. Was talking.”
But the scary thing was that she knew every detail about his house and had come with some people. As the matter escalated, the actor had to involve the police. He further added, “She thought I would leave my family for her. She came with someone and it became a family thing. Lady constables had to be called and they handled it.”
The Bhediya actor further revealed that he has had some disturbing encounters with fans, including incidents where he was forcibly kissed or touched inappropriately. He said some fans fled their homes and stayed a few nights on beaches where police had to get involved.
He recounted another incident when he was shooting for his film October in Dwarka and an elderly woman in a crowd of 1000 people scolded him for getting clicked with her. Dhawan also said that she was kissed without her consent and admitted that she was not comfortable with it and felt violated.
However, such incidents made him sympathetic towards the oppression of women. Varun shared, “I feel bad for women because I directly put myself in their position. If this is happening to me, it will be even worse for them.”
On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Sunny Deol starrer Border 2, Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and No Entry 2, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.
