Veteran actor Nana Patekar is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Vanvas. Directed by Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma, the film will also star Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur in important roles. Meanwhile, Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Patekar is shooting a special podcast with Aamir Khan for the film.
According to a source close to the development, Aamir Khan and Nana Patekar are shooting a special podcast on Saturday i.e. December 21, 2024. It will focus on the latter’s upcoming film; Vanvas which is already approaching its release date.
Meanwhile, there have been reports that the makers are also planning to host an intimate screening for Mr. Perfectionist. It will be held in Mumbai, for which the Sitare Zameen Par actor has already been invited.
“Nana and Aamir Khan share a great bond, the team of Vanvas has already arranged a special screening for the actor in Bombay. Aamir will watch the film on December 20,’ a source close to the film shared with News18.
The trailer of Vanvas was released almost a few weeks ago on all social media platforms. While the promotional material is already building anticipation, the trailer introduced fans to the world of the upcoming family drama, which once again promises to be a heartfelt story of family, respect, and the journey of self-acceptance.
In an earlier conversation with us, Sharma had called Vanvas an “emotional mutiny” of modern times. He said that with his upcoming project, he is again getting into the family genre like his previous films Shraddhaanjali, Bandhan Kachche Dhaagaon Ka and Apne, which were also appreciated by the audience.
“It is in Banaras, there is Kumbh and it is a very emotional journey. It is a journey of life, it is every man’s life…it will connect with every man (It is based on the backdrop of Banaras which also includes Kumbh. It is an emotional journey) There’s a trauma and a journey in life that everyone can relate to),” he shared with us.
The film, being developed under the banner of Anil Sharma Productions, is set to release in theaters on December 20, 2024.
