Game Changer is one of the most awaited films to release during the Pongal festival next year. Directed by S Shankar, the film stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Recently, actor Srikanth spoke to the media in Hyderabad about his experience working on the film and its possible sequel.
Talking about his working experience with the director, Srikanth mentioned that from day one, Shankar made him feel comfortable. He said that the filmmaker is very patient and takes as many takes as needed. Srikanth explained that Shankar knows exactly what kind of performance he wants from his actors and ensures that his vision is clearly expressed.
Srikanth said, “He knows how his actors should act in his films and he completely inculcates his vision in us. We just follow it.”
Talking about the sequel, the actor said that he believes Game Changer is a standalone film. He said that even though Shankar’s recent films did not live up to expectations, he never failed as a director. Srikanth expressed hope that the director will make a strong comeback with this film.
Srikanth said, “No. I think Game Changer is a standalone single-part film. Shankar’s recent films may have disappointed, but as a director he has never failed.”
He mentioned that the film has all the commercial elements that people enjoy, including political angles and twists. He concluded by hoping that it would be a big hit.
Srikanth further said that he was young when he worked with Ram Charan in Govindudu Andarivadele. He mentioned that there is a notable difference in the acting style of the RR actor now.
Srikanth said that Ram Charan is now doing more mature roles. He shared, “Whatever he is doing now is mature characters, be it Rangasthalam or RRR. Both his characters in ‘Game Changer’ are performance-oriented roles. It is very challenging to play Appanna in this film.”
Meanwhile, Game Changer will release on the big screens on January 10, 2025.
