Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rana Daggubati have shared a good bond over the years. Well, the actress is the Baahubali star’s former sister-in-law through her previous marriage with Naga Chaitanya. While the couple parted ways, the Kushi actress continued her friendship with Rana. And now, as Samantha celebrates her 40th birthday today, Samantha dropped a special birthday note to mark the day.
On her Instagram stories, Samantha shared a picture of Rana Daggubati and wrote a long note, explaining that Rana has always been a big inspiration in her life. She claimed that she will always remain a fan of her former brother-in-law.

Samantha wrote, “Happy birthday, my dear @ranadaggubati. Seeing you give your hundred percent in every task always inspires me to do better… to be better. Always a fan. God bless.”
Just a few months ago, a fun banter was captured between Rana Daggubati and Samantha Ruth Prabhu when the two shared the stage during an awards ceremony.
Well, as soon as the actress came on stage to receive her award, Rana didn’t waste even a minute in pulling her leg. While Samantha warned him not to joke, the Baahubali actor humorously remarked that just as she moved from Tollywood to Hollywood, she too turned from sister-in-law to his sister-in-law.
He said, “Samantha moved from Tollywood to Hollywood. My sister-in-law became my sister.”
Of course, this comment made the Citadel: Honey Bunny actress ROFL, Rana continued to narrate some fond anecdotes and revealed that he used to call Samantha ‘Ruthless’ Prabhu during their childhood. He then asked, “But where has Comedy Sam gone?”
In response, Samantha clarified that she has lost the comedy side of her personality and has fallen asleep.
For those unaware, Rana Daggubati is the cousin of her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya from Samantha’s mother Lakshmi Daggubati’s side.
