Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is breaking box office records one after the other. The film entered the Rs 800 crore club in just four days. In its opening weekend, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 broke many records and is making waves. The sequel became the fastest film to earn Rs 300 crore in Hindi, beating Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan, Pathan, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.

Pushpa 2 broke seven records in the extended weekend (four days) following the film’s release in theaters on 5 December. The film also had its premiere shows in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru on 4 December.

• Highest non-festival opening:Pushpa 2 was postponed several times before its release on 5 December. The film did not release during any festival, yet it was successful in breaking box office records.
• Highest ever for any film: A monumental picture was seen in the Hindi version on Sunday, December 8. The film grossed a grand total of Rs 86 crore in India.
• Fastest film to earn Rs 250 crore: Pushpa 2 became the fastest film to cross the Rs 250 crore mark in India. It achieved this feat on Sunday, December 8.
• Fastest film to earn Rs 300 crore in India: Director Sukumar’s sequel became the fastest film to cross the Rs 300 crore (net) mark in India on December 9.

Pushpa 2 took only five days to achieve this feat, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan grossed Rs 300 crore on the sixth day. Pathan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal took seven days to earn Rs 300 crore. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Rajkumar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 earned Rs 300 crore in eight days.

The Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali and Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 earned Rs 300 crore on Day 10 and 11 respectively.
