Case likely to be filed against Allu Arjun after 1 dies in stampede at Pushpa 2 screening: Sources
A huge crowd rushed to a Hyderabad theater to catch a glimpse of actor Allu Arjun, resulting in a stampede. A 35-year-old woman died during the incident.

Actor Allu Arjun will likely be named as an accused in the case registered in connection with Stampede at Sandhya Theater Sources said during the premiere of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad.
In the incident that took place on December 4, a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, lost her life and her 13-year-old son was seriously injured.
Sources said that along with the theater management, actor Allu Arjun’s name is also likely to figure in this case.
Chaos ensued as fans flocked to the venue to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who made a surprise appearance at the event.
Revathi, a resident of Dilsukhnagar, came to the film premiere with her husband Bhaskar and their two children Mr. Tej (13) and Sanvika (7). As soon as the crowd gathered when Allu Arjun arrived, a stampede-like situation arose, due to which many people got injured.
Police said that a huge crowd had gathered in the hope of watching the film as well as getting a glimpse of the lead actors of the film coming to the theatre.
“However, there was no communication from the theater management or the team of actors that they would visit the theatre. The theater management had not made any additional provisions regarding security to control the crowd. Nor was there any separate entry or exit for the actors’ team, although the theater management was aware of their arrival, the Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner of Police said.
The police officer said that Allu Arjun had reached the movie theater with his personal security and all the people gathered there tried to enter the theater with him.
“His personal security team started pushing the public which worsened the situation as there was already a huge crowd in the theatre. Taking advantage of this situation, a large number of people along with the actor and his security team entered the lower balcony area. One Revathi and her around 13-year-old son felt suffocated due to the huge crowd,” the officer said.
During the commotion, Revathi and her son became unconscious and were taken to Durga Bhai Deshmukh Hospital in Vidyanagar. Revathi was declared dead on arrival, while Mr Tej was later shifted to KIMS hospital in Begumpet due to his critical condition.
The incident occurred around 10:30 pm when the crowd outside the theater went out of control despite police management efforts.
In the video of the event, Allu Arjun is seen waving to the fans from his car and requesting them to make way for the vehicles before leaving amid heavy security.
