Streaming giant Netflix has officially announced The Roshans, a docu-series taking an exclusive look at the life and legacy of one of Bollywood’s most iconic families, the Roshans. The series will follow three generations of the Roshan family, whose contribution has left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.

At the center of the narrative is the late Roshan Lal Nagrath, fondly known as Roshan Saab, a renowned musician who laid the foundation of “the family’s artistic dynasty”. The docu-series also promises to highlight the contributions of his descendants – filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, composer Rajesh Roshan and actor Hrithik Roshan.

Directed by Shashi Ranjan and co-produced by Rakesh Roshan, the series features candid interviews with family, industry colleagues and friends like Shah Rukh Khan, providing rare insights into his personal and professional journeys.

Earlier this year, Rakesh Roshan shared a photo with Shah Rukh on Instagram and thanked him for his contribution to the documentary. He wrote, “Thank you Shahrukh for your love, warmth and contribution to The Roshans….”
