Cher has hinted that a new album may, in fact, be her final album. His upcoming 28th studio album will be released after Christmas in 2023. With phenomenal careers spanning more than 60 years, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees may finally be stepping down.

Speaking to The Sun about her 28th studio album while promoting her new memoir, Cher: The Memoir, Part One, the Believe singer admitted, “It’s probably the last album I’m going to do. I Really excited. Those are great songs, and I’m really excited that I’m doing it.”

He also commented on his long career, joking about his age with the audience. She quipped that she is often the oldest person in the room, unless she moves into a retirement home, but she is grateful to be able to continue working.

“I’m really excited to do anything now,” the 78-year-old singer and actress joked at London’s Lyceum Theatre. “I’m older than clay now, okay? I’m the oldest person I’ve ever been to.” “Meet you everywhere.” Room, unless I live in an old people’s home.”

Although details of the record are being kept under wraps, the Heart of Stone singer has previously expressed her intention to produce more music and recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she confirmed her 28th album. Their likely last album follows their 2023 holiday album, Christmas, which featured some original compositions and went straight to the top of the Top Holiday Albums chart.

In October, Cher was married to Mary J. Blige and A Tribe Called Quest. She made her debut as one half of Sonny & Cher in 1965 and soon released her solo album that same year, quickly rising to fame in a male-dominated industry.

She has sold over 100 million records, and some of her iconic solo studio albums include All I Really Want to Do (1965), Cher (1966), Bittersweet White Light (1973), Dark Lady (1974), Believe (1998), Are included. Living Proof (2001), Closer to the Truth (2013), Dancing Queen (2018), and many more.
