Tamanna Bhatia addressed North-South debateAnd said, “It is time that we stop creating discord in our industry. Both the industries should come together to make a true pan-India film. Playing against each other – this has been happening for a long time and has created more havoc. And the blame is always on the actors for saying something.”

He further said, “But, the truth is that we are in a beautiful period, where people are looking at us even at the international level. They want to watch Indian films. We should talk about how to establish ourselves internationally. The barrier between South and North should be removed.”

“Films are a collective art form. Every time you work on a film set it is a new experience. There is no formula that says that if something works in one industry, it will work in another. There is no right way to do this,” said the actor.

Avinash Tiwari also said that now the time has come to leave the North vs South debate. “We should abandon regional divisions and stop calling it ‘Bollywood’. I look forward to the day when it will be called Indian film industry and not South or Hindi films. We watch Western movies, Korean dramas and K-pop; There needs to be a discussion on cultural impact,” said the Laila Majnu actor.

He said, “We have not been able to make a cultural impact on the world through cinema – the day we start paying attention to it, that is the day development will start.”

Jimmy Shergill talks about one quality that Bollywood can learn from regional cinema. He shared, “There is a lot of influence from the South that is coming into Bollywood. There is a lot of Punjabi influence in Bollywood. Every industry moves along, that’s how it’s always worked. You get to know more about it, thanks to social media.”

The actor then talked about one quality that regional cinema can adopt from Bollywood. He said, “I have not worked in the South so I cannot talk about it.” I have done only Punjabi films. We can learn from Bollywood movies how to be more organized which will save time and money for each project.

Tamannaah Bhatia, Avinash Tiwari and Jimmy Shergill’s Sikandar Ka Muqaddar will release on November 29.
