The makers of CID shared a new video on November 22, announcing the start of shooting for the much-awaited new season of the popular TV show. The shooting began on 22 November with a mahurat puja in the presence of the cast and crew.

Making its much-awaited return to Sony Entertainment Television, the famous detective show will see the return of the iconic team of detectives: Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Dayanand Shetty (Daya), and Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet).

As the cameras started rolling, the excitement on set was undeniable, with the cast and crew preparing for another action-packed season. Fans can expect an unforgettable experience filled with dramatic twists, intense investigations and the signature CID style that has enthralled audiences for years.

The new promo shows Abhijeet (Aditya) and Daya, who were once best friends, now standing as arch enemies in the show. The trailer reveals a shocking moment where Abhijeet shoots Daya, leaving ACP Pradyuman (Sivaji) in disbelief.

CID season two is scheduled to premiere around Christmas 2024. While the lead trio returns in the promo, the familiar supporting cast is also expected to reappear – although fans will miss Dinesh Phadnis, who played Inspector Fredericks. The actor died in 2023.
