Angelina Jolie knows where her priorities lie! The Maleficent actress recently appeared on Good Morning America to promote her upcoming film Maria and talked about the most important aspect of her life – motherhood. “It’s my pleasure,” the actress said. He said, “You can take everything else away from me. Nothing else matters.”
The motherly aspect is something that Jolie is similar to the character she plays in her film. The actress, who is mother to six children – Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16 – plays Maria Callas, the world’s greatest opera singer, in the upcoming musical-drama .
Jolie received some help from her sons Maddox and Pax in preparing for her role and described it as an “amazing” experience. But for this role she also had to practice opera singing at home, which her children greatly disliked. She added, “My early opera singing caused all my children to suffer at home before I could do anything good, which was a nightmare.”
Earlier this week, the Eternals actress attended the Governors Awards with her 16-year-old son Knox. An insider tells Page Six that the mom is “proud” to have her son with her and that it was Knox who requested to tag along, despite her preference to stay out of the spotlight. Thrilled Jolie couldn’t refuse the offer and brought him along as her arm candy for the evening.
The actress stunned in a long cream and gold dress, while her son – whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt – wore a shaved head and a black tuxedo. However, the gesture angered Pitt as he accused Jolie of deliberately taking the step to “push his buttons” amid their ongoing legal battle, as Page Six reports.
An insider told the outlet that the Training Days actor thinks it wasn’t a “coincidence” that she brought Knox to the red carpet event just days after the court’s ruling in her favor. Underlying tension between the Pitt-Jolie family has persisted for years.
In addition to the legal troubles, the former couple’s daughter Shiloh officially dropped her father’s surname from her name on her birthday, causing further rift between the family.
As far as Jolie’s film Maria is concerned, it will be released on November 27 in the US and later on December 11 on Netflix.
