The Nubia Z70 Ultra is the latest addition to the Nubia family and it brings top-notch features in a familiar design. It’s the logical successor to last year’s Z60 Ultra, and it brings some major upgrades, including the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a great screen, and updated cameras.
The Z70 Ultra’s display grew to 6.85 inches, with a faster 144Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits peak brightness. There’s a slight bump in the resolution of 1,216 x 2,688 px and thin bezels, measuring just 1.25mm, making them the thinnest bezels on any smartphone.

The BOE-made AMOLED panel also features an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and a seventh-generation 16MP under-display selfie cam. Nubia continues to improve the UD selfie cam experience with advanced algorithms for clearer selfies and an updated 430ppi screen area above the sensor.
Moving on to the rear cameras, Nubia is opting for a 50MP main camera with 35mm optics and an IMX906 sensor.
The new addition to the main camera is a variable aperture lens, covering values ​​from f/1.59 to f/4.0.

The main shooter is coupled to a 70mm equivalent 64MP periscope module (OV64B) with 2.7x optical zoom and a 13mm equivalent 50MP ultrawide (OV50D) with autofocus. There’s also a new camera button – half press to focus and full press to capture the image.
The Z70 Ultra boots Nebula AIOS based on Android 15, which brings a number of AI features. The phone also has a 6,150 mAh silicon-carbon battery with IP69 ingress protection rating, two-way satellite communication, and 80W fast charging.
The Nubia Z70 comes in Ultra Black, Amber and a limited-edition Starry Night Blue color scheme inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night. The baseline 12/256GB trim starts at CNY 4,599 ($635), while the range-topping 24GB RAM and 1TB version will be available for CNY 6,299 ($870).
The Z70 Ultra is already on pre-order in China on ZTE Mall, JD.com. Tmall, Douyin. Shipment there will start from November 25.
The Z70 Ultra will soon be available outside China, with a global launch scheduled for November 26.
