Bollywood fans and insiders are excited as Netflix and Red Chillies have announced a new web series produced and directed by Aryan Khan. Recently, proud father Shah Rukh Khan opened up about the theme of the web series and called it ‘a refreshing take on cinema’.
Sharing more details about the show, King Khan expressed his excitement about introducing the new show, which promises to provide a ‘refreshing look’ into the glamor world of showbiz. Furthermore, he mentioned that it will follow ‘the journey of an outsider’ in Bollywood.
He explained this by saying, “We are excited to introduce this new series with Netflix that offers a refreshing look into the glamorous cinematic world and what it takes to succeed as an outsider. This Aryan A unique story brought to life by many passionate minds, and the team at Red Chillies Entertainment, it will be full-on, full-on action and full of entertainment.”
The announcement regarding the much-awaited web series was officially made at a star-studded event in Los Angeles. It was hosted by Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer of Netflix, where the streaming platform announced the release of more international projects in 2025.
Among other popular titles, Star Kid’s series stood out as it explores ‘the glamorous yet demanding backdrop of Bollywood’. The streaming platform revealed that it will be an entertaining project that will showcase the challenges faced by an ‘ambitious outsider’ in showbiz. Unlike any other project in Indian cinema, it will feature drama, comedy, larger-than-life characters and surprise cameos.
Apart from Shah Rukh, his daughter Suhana Khan also took the opportunity to cheer her brother as she re-shared Netflix’s Instagram post and wrote, “Lots of laughter, drama, action and a little bit of trouble – as always You, @_Aryan. I can’t wait!
The untitled project will have the support of his mother Gauri Khan and will mark the star-kid’s debut as a director. Previously, Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix India had collaborated to deliver successful projects like Darlings, Bhakta, Class of ’83, Betaal and Bard of Blood.
Meanwhile, the untitled series is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2025.
