Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 producer Bhushan Kumar talked about having an argument with the team of Singham Again over the box office clash during Diwali. In a recent interview, while admitting that the case has now been resolved, he accused the team of the cop-drama of being ‘unfair’.

The producer said, “I did not go to the Competition Commission. There were a lot of arguments with our Singham Again team because they were unfair. In all the survey reports, we were equal. On that basis, we had requested to contest the screen allocation of 50- Commission to keep 50. Since our film was equally big, we demanded equal justice, but there were some personal interests behind this favoritism.”

He said that distributors supported Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 despite their other commitments, but they had to go to great lengths to ensure a level playing field during its release earlier this month. “I don’t want to blame the theater chains. Since they were the distributors of the second film, they had some reservations. Still, they wanted to support us to a great extent. We had quite a tug of war between it,” he shared. .

Bhushan revealed that he asked the team to assess the advance booking response for further analysis. The producer said that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 performed exceptionally well in its pre-sales business and this strengthened his confidence.

He further admitted that there was a time when he felt things were getting ‘unpleasant’, but in the end, both the films found their audience and started doing equally well at the box office. “We had a fight over this, but in the end everything became normal. Both films were doing very well. It became a bit unpleasant, but they also assured me that they would not let my film suffer. When They saw the results, they also helped us,” he concluded.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again hit the screens on November 1 as big Diwali releases. Both the films have continued to perform well in theaters and have registered a combined business of around Rs 440 crore domestically in 15 days.
