After teasing fans with interesting character posters, the makers of the upcoming pan-Indian film Kubera have released the first look. Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu unveiled the video on social media on November 15, offering a glimpse into the gritty, crime-thriller world created by director Shekhar Kammula.

Kuber stars an ensemble cast including Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Jim Sarbh. Sharing the glimpse of X, Mahesh Babu wrote, “A blend of action, drama and cinematography! All the best.”

The glimpse gives a panoramic view of the film’s central characters – Dhanush, Rashmika, Nagarjuna and Jim. Dhanush plays the role of an ordinary man, while Nagarjuna plays a rich family man. Rashmika’s character longs for more from her middle-class existence, and Jim Sarbh plays a successful businessman.

What really catches our attention is the final part, where the true identity of Dhanush’s character is revealed. He is not the ordinary slum dweller portrayed in the early scenes, but a wealthy man in traditional attire. Shekhar maintains a sense of mystery, focusing on character introduction and emotional depth without revealing too much.

Kubera is considered a socio-drama that explores themes of ambition, morality and power dynamics. The film is being prepared as a pan-India offering, shot in both Tamil and Telugu, with plans for a simultaneous release in Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
