Screen idol Timothy West dies at 90
British star Timothy West, who was known for his appearances in shows, films and dramas, has died. He was 90 years old.

British television and film star Timothy West has died. He was 90 years old. The actor’s children shared a joint statement with the media about the tragic news and said that West died “peacefully in his sleep.”
“He was with his friends and family at the end. We will all miss him dearly. We would like to thank the incredible NHS staff at St George’s Hospital, Tooting and Avery Wandsworth for their loving care during his final days.” Full statement shared by BBC.
Timothy West has three children – Juliet, Samuel and Joseph West, who shared that the artist had a “long and extraordinary life on and off the stage.”
West is also survived by his wife, Prunella Scales, best known for her appearance in Fawlty Towers. They were married for 61 years. Meanwhile, West was known for projects such as Great Canal Journeys, Edward the Seventh, The Day of the Jackal, Cry Freedom, Masada, Iris and Brass.
