Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, best known for playing the OG Indian superhero Shaktimaan, has promised the return of the desi star to Indian screens. Khanna also shared a poster as well as a teaser of it.

In the said video, Shaktimaan is seen flying and landing in a school, where he sings about freedom while looking at the pictures of Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose and other freedom fighters.

Apart from the clip, the actor also shared an Instagram post about the same with the caption, “It’s time for his return. Our first Indian super teacher-superhero. Yes! Darkness and evil dominate today’s children …It’s time for them to return. He has returned with a message. Welcome them with both hands.

Shaktimaan originally aired on Doordarshan in 1997. As of now, it is not clear whether the show will return as a film, TV series or web series.
