Mariah Carey performed in her first concert of the Christmas series in Los Angeles, with her twins joining her on stage. Carey’s children, Moroccan and Monroe, took center stage during the intermission of their mother’s performance and put on a show for the audience, who couldn’t stop cheering for them. While Carey’s son played the drums, her sister Monroe danced to the tune.
As the twins managed to entertain the audience, at one point the singer intervened and lovingly asked the kids, “What do you guys think about taking over the show while I go backstage for a while?” ?” The 13-year-olds immediately quipped to their moms, “Really? Really, Mom?”
The musician then said, “Yeah! Come on, you’re going to be great,” and called on her glam team to escort her off the stage, claiming, “You know I always need an escort. “
Later, the twins performed with a group of background dancers. The duo performed a mashup of Let It Snow and Deck the Halls. Additionally, the brothers and sisters also joined in red costumes and changed roles as the song changed.
At the end of their short concert, the kids revealed to the fans their wish list for the holiday season. Monroe began by saying, “Well, I was just expecting a few things… nothing Chief.”
The Moroccan continued, “Wait, I think I remember your list! You wanted… a Birkin, a pink Lambo – oh, we can’t even drive! You, my mother’s baby.”
Monroe also revealed that she is hoping to get Schiaparelli for Christmas. As far as Carey’s kids go, the musician has twins with her ex-husband Nick Cannon. The former couple welcomed their children in 2011. Carey and Canon were married for 8 years from 2008 to 2016.
Speaking about co-parenting her children with Nick, Mariah told People Magazine in 2018: “Whenever we can show it — even if we’re not together,[that]we can’t help each other.” Love Bet – and become a good example for your children and hopefully they will grow up to be good people.”
On the work front, Mariah Carey will continue her Christmas show throughout the holiday season.
