Actress Shilpa Shinde is all set to fight her fears in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 hosted by Rohit Shetty. The show is currently being shot in Romania and will soon air on Colors. Before boarding the flight, the ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ actress spoke exclusively to IndiaToday.in about doing back-to-back reality shows and the ‘tantrum queen’ tag that has been fixed on her.

Shilpa Shinde revealed that she too wishes to do fiction shows. She said that she should consider her fans’ expectations as well as her own. “Honestly, there are very few good projects that can satisfy the actor in me. After so many years, I cannot choose a project arbitrarily. I sometimes find it strange that I once said I won’t do reality shows, and I am back to it again. However, this is the time when such shows work, so I am all set for it.”

The actress left successful shows like ‘Chidiya Ghar’, ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ and even ‘Gangs of Filmistan’ due to differences with the producers. Her decisions made people feel that she is a difficult actress and earned her the tag of ‘Tantrum Queen’.

When asked about this, Shilpa replied, “I think I am a very honest person. I speak my heart out and am not afraid to call a spade a spade. If this creates controversy, it is not my fault. Fans have seen the real me through Bigg Boss and social media. They know that I am a simple person and I don’t have any tantrums.”

She said, “If people make such comments about me from the comfort of their homes, I can’t really do anything about it. I know the reality and that’s enough for me. It is rightly said that “You can hold the hand of a killer, but not the mouth of a speaker” (You can stop someone from hitting someone, but you can’t stop his opponents from commenting). I can’t stop myself for the same reason.”

Shilpa Shinde had slammed judges Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit and Nora Fatehi after she was eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa last season. Calling them unfair, she even claimed that the filmmaker does not understand dance to judge such a show while Nora needs to learn Hindi. She also attacked Madhuri for getting emotional during judging.

And now, as she heads for KKK 14, many are wondering if she will call out Rohit Shetty as well. Laughing off the suggestion, the actor said, “Not at all. I have seen Rohit sir on the show and he is a very fair host. Whenever someone is wrong, he reprimands them. That’s his best quality. As far as what I said in the past, I don’t think I said anything wrong. I don’t apologise for my comments because they were true.”

Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 will also feature Abhishek Kumar, Shaleen Bhanot, Nimrit Kaur, Krishna Shroff, Ashish Mehrotra, Niyati Fatnani, Karan Veer Mehra, Aditi Sharma, Asim Riaz, Gashmeer Mahajani and Sumona Chakravarti.
