Ranbir Kapoor surprised the audience with his intense performance as Ranvijay Singh in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal (2023). The film became one of the highest-grossing films of the year, with audiences becoming excited when the makers announced a sequel titled Animal Park. Recently, the film’s co-producer Bhushan Kumar revealed that the sequel is on track. He mentioned that once director Sandeep Reddy Vanga completes his next project with Prabhas, they will start work on the Ranbir starrer within the next six months.

In the post-credits scene of Animal, audiences get to see the title Animal Park, which was confirmed as a sequel by the producers. In a new interview with Bollywood Hungama, T-Series Productions Managing Director Bhushan Kumar confirmed that the film is in production, much to the delight of fans.

He revealed that the film’s director is working on his next film, a Telugu entertainer film Spirit starring superstar Prabhas in the lead role. However, the other cast of the film has not been decided yet. So, they are working on it, and the shooting of that film will start by the end of December 2024.

Once Spirit is made, after a gap of six months, they will begin work on Animal Park starring Ranbir Kapoor. “We’ll have a six-month hiatus and then Animal Park right away,” he said.

For those unaware, Animal received a lot of criticism for its story and violent scenes. However, according to a report in India Today, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has mentioned that Animal Park will be ‘darker’ and ‘darker’ than Animal. Also, he announced that the shooting of the film will start in 2026, but Kumar’s statement has made the audience more excited.

Additionally, Kapoor, during a conversation with Netflix India, recalled that Vanga had narrated him some scenes from the upcoming sequel, which made the actor excited to know more.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is working on Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayan, co-starring Sai Pallavi and Yash. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, starring Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
