Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride recently returned to screens as fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier, respectively, in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol.
The new season of the spin-off series follows the events of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (2023) and shows Daryl and Carol facing their old demons. As Carol struggles to find her friend, Daryl struggles with his decision to stay in France resulting in tension at the Nest.
Amid the release of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, Pinkvilla had an exclusive chat with Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride to learn what other roles they would like to play from the franchise in addition to their role.
While Reedus initially joked that he would like to play “The Batman”, the Daryl Dixon actor ultimately revealed that he would love to play Melissa McBride’s Carol Peletier in addition to his lead role.
McBride, on the other hand, revealed that she would love to play the role of Michonne (originally played by Danai Gurira).
“It would be so fun to play Michonne but then there can only be one Michonne. It’s just a fantasy! Not that Daryl would be easy to play, but Michonne would be fun,” McBride explained.
During their exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, McBride and Reedus also shared a heartfelt message for fans of The Walking Dead franchise.
Melissa McBride said, “If you’re new to the show, please check it out and enjoy and if you’ve been watching it your whole life… thank you for being there for so long.” “Really appreciate it,” Norman Reedus said.
In addition to Reedus and McBride, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol also stars Clemence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Lika Blanc Francord, Anna Carrier, Romain Levy, and Eric Abounai.
Reedus and McBride also serve as executive producers of the show alongside showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman, and Steve Squillante.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carroll premieres on AMC on September 29, 2024, and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video starting November 12.
