Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead alongside Trupti Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit, has registered an unprecedented trend in advance bookings. The much-awaited horror-comedy is expected to end its final advance sale by selling 2.25 lakh tickets across the top three national chains – PVR Inox and Cinepolis for the opening day alone.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 off to a solid start; Impressive pre-sale record
As of 10 pm (October 31, Thursday), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has sold 2.06 lakh tickets across the top national chains. Of which, PVR Inox took the lead by selling more than 1.60 lakh tickets, while Cinepolis sold 46000 tickets.
The final advance sale of the horror-comedy is expected to end around 2.25 lakh tickets at PIC. The film is also doing good pre-sales in non-national cinema chains; However, it needs to work on the content front to put up a healthy number in its full theatrical run.
One cannot completely rely on advances as a lot of self-shopping has been seen. However, the good thing is that the audience has also shown keen interest in the film and the film has also registered organic bookings. The real test will begin once the pre-release hype fades away.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 eyes Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore opening; Will depend largely on spot booking
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has created the right buzz with its promotional resources – teaser, trailer, songs and promos. The big Diwali release is expected to take a good start at the box office. As of now, Kartik Aryan’s film is targeting an opening of Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore, although a lot will depend on spot bookings and initial public response.
If the horror-comedy drama gets positive word-of-mouth, it could do wonders at the box office. This genre is growing rapidly after the super successes of Munjya and Stree 2 this year. If everything goes well, the film will collect Rs 80-90 crore in the opening weekend in India.
