Halsey is happily engaged and she can’t stop admiring it! The singer, who recently announced her engagement to actor, Avan Jogia, appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast on October 30 and shared details of her romantic proposal. The Without Me singer’s boyfriend popped the question during their trip to Barcelona.
“It’s like where we first started hanging out, so it’s really special to us,” he told podcast host Alex Cooper. Although she was unsure whether she was still ready to tie the knot, the proposal made her reconsider the decision because according to her, Jogiya is “the most amazing, most intelligent, hottest, best person” to ever meet. She ever met.
She added, “It was really lovely. However, after the romantic moment of her life, Jogia went to Canada for a six-month shoot. “We didn’t really get a chance to be like ‘engaged’, but she came home. Coming over, and I think we’ll have our time then,” Halsey said. Earlier, the singer-songwriter, who uses she/they pronouns, had said she was not interested in marriage.
When Cooper asked what changed, Halsey simply replied “Avan.” He never understood what marriage has to do with love. She said, “I was like, OK, if you love each other, just stay together…I didn’t understand it.” But she felt something with Jogiya and knew that she would like to marry him.
Halsey explained, “I love him so much that I think it would have been just as good if we (hadn’t gotten married). But something about it makes me want to do it more.” The couple were first linked together in September 2023 when they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles. About a month later they made their relationship Instagram official.
The Colors singer confirmed his engagement on Instagram (formally Twitter). He told Cooper, “It was just radiating such warmth and such light.” And the light looked so alluring and attractive that she wanted to peek inside to know more.
