Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is once again in the headlines, but this time for a heart-touching reason! Now he is dedicating his efforts to a unique initiative this Diwali. By associating with a trust, Akshay aims to feed monkeys in Ayodhya every day, celebrating the legacy of Hanuman’s brave army. With a generous pledge of Rs 1 crore, he is ensuring that the festive spirit touches not just humans but our furry friends as well.
According to Times Now, Akshay Kumar is all set to seek blessings of Lord Ram by feeding him to the revered monkeys who played a vital role in the war against Ravana. This noble initiative is led by Anjaneya Seva Trust under the guidance of Jagatguru Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj.
When contacted by the Trust, the Khel Khel actor responded with warmth and generosity and enthusiastically agreed to contribute. They not only committed to the cause but also made significant donations to ensure that these sacred animals were fed every day.
Priya Gupta, Founder Trustee of Anjaneya Seva Trust, praised Akshay Kumar’s generosity and highlighted his kindness not only towards his family and colleagues but also towards the community. He said he donated immediately and significantly to this initiative by dedicating it to his parents, Hariom and Aruna Bhatia, as well as his father-in-law, Rajesh Khanna.
Gupta emphasized that the Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan star is not only a big donor but also a socially conscious citizen who cares about the residents of Ayodhya. He assured that their efforts to feed the monkeys will be done responsibly, to ensure that no inconvenience or filth is created in the city.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently finalizing the comedy Housefull 5, which features a massive cast. The much-awaited film directed by Tarun Mansukhani is set to release in theaters on June 6, 2025.
Apart from Housefull 5, Akshay has many exciting projects including Welcome to the Jungle, Sky Force, Hera Pheri 3, Bhoot Bangla and Jolly LLB 3. He is also playing a special role in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. Ajay Devgan, which will release on 1 November 2024, coinciding with Diwali.
