Actor Suriya gets emotional at the pre-release event of his upcoming film Kanguva in Hyderabad. He recalled that he had no theatrical release for about two and a half years. He had tears in his eyes after seeing the overwhelming reception for the re-release of Surya Putra Krishnan. Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Siva, is set for a grand release in theaters on November 14 in multiple languages.

Speaking at the event, Suriya said, “It’s been more than two years since I released in the theatre. But yet when Surya son Krishnan came, you all were here. Seeing your love literally brought tears to my eyes. Your Thank you so much for all this. I think this bond is really special to me.

Surya Putra Krishnan was re-released in theaters earlier this year. Fans flocked to the theaters and enjoyed the release of the film by dancing in the theater and repeating the iconic dialogues.

Suriya has been working on director Siruthai Siva’s film Kanguva for over two years. Her last release was director Pandiraj’s Etharakkum Thunindhavan, which released in theaters in 2022.

Now, the actor is excited about his upcoming big budget film Kanguva. The fantasy action film will feature Suriya in two roles – as Kanguva and Francis Theodore. Apart from them, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Radin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala and Anandraj are part of the supporting cast.
