Aamir Khan and Suriya’s Ghajini 2: Same shooting schedule, same day release
Ghajini 2 may be made in both Hindi and Tamil languages at the same time. Aamir Khan and Suriya are reportedly in talks with producer Allu Aravind to finalize the script.

Actors Aamir Khan and Suriya are likely to revive their hit film Ghajini into a franchise. Latest media reports suggest that both the actors have liked the idea of Ghajini 2 and have agreed to work together on the second film of this franchise. The idea is to ensure that both the Hindi and Tamil versions of the film find their appropriate audiences at the same time.
Neither of the actors is interested in doing a remake, and hence, talks are on about shooting Gazzini 2 together and releasing both the versions on the same day.
a report in pinkvilla Suriya quoted as confirming the news of his interest in Ghajini 2. While promoting his latest film, Kanguva, he mentioned that producer Allu Aravind had recently pitched the idea of a second film in the franchise, and he really liked it.
He said, “Ghajini 2 was really surprising that you asked me now. After a long time, Allu Aravind came up with that idea (for a sequel) and asked if it would be possible. I said definitely sir, we are thinking.” Yes, talks have started, work on Ghajini 2 can happen.”
The report quoted a source close to the production as saying that Aamir has been working with Allu Aravind for some time to develop Ghajini 2. The actor is keen to work on this film as a new script and not a Tamil remake. version.
“Two Ghajini films will be shot at the same time”
The source further added, “With things going on all over India, remakes of cult films with popular stars are now a thing of the past. Both Suriya and Aamir Khan are excited about the idea of Ghajini 2, but don’t want the remake tag on them ” They were also worried that the film coming first would kill the novelty factor and upon hearing about the two actors, Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena came up with a solution of shooting both the Ghajini films. Bringing them to the big screen in the same time frame and on the same day.”
The Tamil version of Ghajini starring Suriya and Asin was released in 2005. Aamir’s Ghajini, which was a box office success, hit the screens in 2008. After 16 years, the buzz about Ghajini 2 seems exciting. This is also a big responsibility and the makers do not want to make any mistake in it. Everyone involved with the film wants to see it as an organic sequel/part two, and not just an attempt to cash in on the franchise’s name.
If everything goes as per plan, the structure of Ghajini 2 will be ready by mid-2025. Both Aamir and Suriya have given their initial consent and now, everything depends on the final script.
