The trailer for Love Hurts was released on October 23, featuring Hui Quan in her first leading role since winning the Oscar for Everything Everywhere All at Once. The action-comedy allows Kwan to showcase both his martial arts skills and comedic timing.

In Love Hurts, Kwan plays Marvin Gable, an ordinary real estate agent in Milwaukee. His peaceful life is thrown into disarray when he receives a red envelope from Rose (Ariana DeBose), a former partner from his world-class assassin past. Forced to return to his old life, Marvin must escape his vengeful brother, crime lord Knuckles (Daniel Wu).

Directed by JoJo Eusebio, known for his work as a stunt and fight coordinator, the film stars a diverse cast including Marshawn Lynch, Mustafa Shakir, Leo Tipton, Rhys Darby, and Sean Astin.

This film will be released on 7 February 2025.
