Ajay Devgan’s film Son of Sardaar 2 has come under question due to many reasons. Earlier, Pinkvilla had exclusively reported that Vijay Raaz, who was playing a pivotal role in the upcoming film, was dropped from it. Later he was replaced by Sanjay Mishra. In a recent interview, the senior star talked about getting into the role of the Run actor.
During a conversation with India Today, Sanjay Mishra said that he has completed shooting his portion in Son of Sardar 2. “Honestly, it’s all a part of the business,” the veteran star said. Because he had received a call from Ajay Devgan. That one call from the Singham Again actor was enough to come on board and replace Vijay Raaz in the film. Describing Devgan as his close friend, he said that it was not easy for him to replace Vijay.
The Jolly LLB 2 actor also took the opportunity to praise Raj, who was last seen in Vicky Vidya’s Woh Wala video. Calling him a phenomenal actor, Mishra said, “In the back of my mind, it was definitely going on that I needed to perform and give my best, especially because I have replaced a good actor like Vijay.” He further said that they are friends and will remain so in future also. Since he is a fan of Vijay and his impressive work, it motivated him to improve his performance so that he does not disappoint the audience or Ajay who showed faith in him.
Speaking to us, Kumar Mangat Pathak, who is co-producing Son of Sardaar 2 with Ajay Devgan, confirmed that he has removed Vijay Raaz from the film due to his behavior on the sets. According to the filmmaker-producer, the actor demanded bigger rooms, a vanity van and also charged him more for the spot boy. In fact, his spot boys were paid Rs 20,000 per night which is more than any big actor.
In his defence, Raaz shared that when he got out of the van, he saw Ajay Devgan standing about 25 meters away. “I didn’t go to welcome him because he was busy and I kept talking to my friends nearby. After 25 minutes, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘You get out of the film, we are getting you out.’ The only misconduct on my part is that I did not greet Mr. Ajay Devgan,” Chandu Champion told us.
