Michael Keaton returned to the Saturday Night Live show following the success of the sequel, Beetlejuice. On a recent episode of SNL, the actor showcased his comedic talents and was joined by Andy Samberg and Mickey Day, who appeared dressed as characters from Keaton’s latest film.
After taking the stage, Keaton expressed his excitement about returning to the show after hosting the comedy sketch series in 1984.
Talking about where he stood in his career before working on SNL, Keaton revealed in his monologue, “I was a PA in ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.’ He continued, “And in the ’70s, you know, ‘SNL’ and ‘Mister Rogers’ had more in common than you might think. Lots of puppets. Tons of cocaine.”
Later in his program, the actor reflected on the most popular character of his career, Beetlejuice. The actor joked that with Halloween coming, most of his young fans will dress up like his character, who will look adorable, and then there are also men in their 40s who will dress up like him for the occasion, and they won’t even look funny . ,
Mickey Day entered the frame at the same time in his Beetlejuice costume and green hair. He asked the actor, “I love ‘Beetlejuice’;” This is my favorite. Can you do me a favor and say, ‘It’s show time?'” Keaton then quipped, “Honestly, I don’t even remember How was it said.”

Later, Samberg joined the pair, also dressed as Beetlejuice. Joining the conversation he said, “Okay, uh, I do.” He continued, “Mike, the thing is, I used to work here. And during my tenure, I tried and failed several times to get my BJ on the show.
Meanwhile, as the act progressed, Keaton found his co-star Sarah Sherman sitting in the audience. Pointing towards him, the actor shared, “I see Sherman hiding in the wings… We don’t have time for another Beetlejuice.” However, Sherman, who wore a striped dress, said, “Oh no, thank you very much. “That’s the way I dress.”
Turning to the actor next to him, the Flash actor noted that they were quoting most of their lines from the first film and asked Samberg and Day if they had seen the sequel. However, the two revealed, “Not yet. It’s on the list.”
The actors then ended their show and welcomed Billie Eilish as the night’s musical guest.
