Bollywood actress Kajol celebrated 29 years of the iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) with a heart-touching post on Instagram. The film, which has been loved by audiences for generations, holds a special place in Indian cinema, and Kajol’s post took fans down memory lane.
Kajol’s caption humorously referred to the festival of Karva Chauth and read, “29 years of Karva Chauth… wishing everyone a very happy and successful Karva Chauth… maybe go to a Maratha temple and watch a movie.” #29yearsofddlj #ddlj (sic).”
In the post, Kajol shared a picture from the film in which she is seen with Shahrukh Khan. Kajol can be seen in her iconic orange lehenga set, while Shah Rukh Khan is wearing his famous black leather jacket and feathered hat – both are signature looks of their characters Simran and Raj.
Directed by Aditya Chopra, released in 1995, has been enthralling fans for almost three decades and still enjoys screenings at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir theatre. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is one of Bollywood’s most loved love stories.
