A drone this week helped Ukrainian troops attack a military training facility for Russian troops in Zaporizhia Oblast in Russian-occupied southern Ukraine.
As soon as the Ukrainian drone spotted the Russian troops, a 660-pound rocket, reportedly loaded with hundreds of grenade-sized submunitions, struck them.
At the time of the attack on October 15, there were about 24 soldiers in the area, Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces said in a statement on Facebook, without specifying casualties.
He also tagged a video that showed drone footage of the initial explosion at the facility followed by several additional explosions in the area.
According to reports, there have been about seven attacks on Russian internees along the 700-mile front line since February.

Ukraine claims to have killed around 6.7 lakh Russian soldiers since the war began in 2022. Ukrainian defense forces said on Saturday they had destroyed 144 Russian artillery brigades worth $8 billion this year.
Earlier today, regional officials said Ukraine launched a series of drone launches targeting Moscow and western Russia.
Mayor of the Russian capital Sergei Sobyanin said Russian air-defense units destroyed at least one drone flying toward Moscow.
According to preliminary information, there was no damage or casualties in the Ramensky district of the Moscow region where the debris fell.
Drone debris caused several short-lived fires in the Lipetsk region of southwestern Russia, the region’s governor said. He said that there is no information about anyone being injured.
The governors of the Bryansk and Oryol regions in western parts of Russia said air defense units destroyed several drones there.
Ukraine has often said in the past that its airstrikes target infrastructure critical to Russia’s war effort and are a response to Moscow’s frequent airstrikes.
On the other hand, Russian officials often do not disclose the full extent of the damage caused by drone attacks, especially on military, transportation or energy infrastructure.
